Yoga for Children

The benefits of yoga for children are very well documented.

When children learn to cope with strong emotions, feel safe and secure, and at peace within their own skin, the positive effects on confidence and focus are clearly demonstrated. To begin to learn how to let go of any negative feelings from a young age, can assist in this process becoming a second nature, as they grow into young adults. Todays world is about stimulating every sense for children, most of the time. Children can become overwhelmed, oversensitive and emotional.  For children to begin to understand how just to 'be', to feel relaxed and calm has many advantages in areas such as focus, concentration, and the ability to recharge themselves easily. To learn how to return to a calm state quickly, when experiencing strong emotions, or otherwise is truly a gift for each child to discover in their own time.
